Together with director Luka Galle, we created an independent and self-produced short film called 'The Catcher', which tells the story of Robin, a lonely young man, who works for the government as a catcher of invisible birds. The film will have its world and Belgian premiere at Filmfestival Oostende on February 5th, 2026.
The short film deals about the impact of feeling invisible, through discrimination, social exclusion and in case of our film; loneliness. The urge to exist in a meaningful way might be one of our most basic needs. Emil Leysen, Kris Cuppens, Mieke De Groote en Damla Cengiz are part of the cast and composer Ruben De Gheselle (Young Hearts, Our Girls) has scored our film. The soundtrack will be released by the end of January 2026.
The short film has been completed in September 2025 and we have currently started submitting the film to film festivals. If you still want to support our festival run click on the banner below.
